This is an text - which will discuss the following points

- How does your product engage with audiences

- How would it be distributed as a real media text?

Our project is targeted towards teenagers around the age of 16. Because our project is based in a high school setting, this immediately creates connnection with the high school audience. Who mostly are around the age of 16. This product it's not necessarily made for a young audience as the content may be abusive and aggressive towards them. An example of that would be during the conversation scene, where Diana uses powerful language to assault Elise. The language has been specifically written to fit a typical bully scene in high school. The attitude and form of speech used by Diana represents a stereotypical female bully. The schools carpark is a common bully setting, which further engages with the audience that were (or) are mistreated during high school. Our project also mentions the issue of mental disorders, One in 300 people have schizophrenia, and we engage with the audience that has experience miss-treatment due to their health. And would like to bring more attention to this issue. We do not sexualise any of our characters, and based on van Zoonen's theory that female spectators have internalised traditional gender stereotypes. We subvert that to represent equality and further engaging with our audience who support gender equality. We oppose the Postcolonial theory suggested by Gilroy, as we don't use any western standards in beauty or representation, to show the diversity of other cultures, and furhter imply that issues of mistreatment are widely spread and should recieve more attention.

For distribution, we used video format, more specifically .mov format. To distribute our product to a wider audience, we used multiple platforms, including YouTube, Youku, and Biliblili. As we are based in China platforms, such as YouTube are band. To distributed our project to a Chinese audience we used commonly used Chinese video platforms which are: Youku and Biliblili. Through presenting a rough cut, we also created a audience in our school. To whom we later presented our final product. We also used Wix, to distribute our video through our brand. Based on Hesmondhalgh's theory, we reduce risk by distributing our product to multiple media platforms, as we are increasing the possibility of consumption.
